Cedar Fort rodeo

Ever since we got our pony Twix last year, Kaylee has wanted to enter the Cedar Fort rodeo and parade. So we let her and I think it was the highlight of her year!! Aspen surprised us and wanted to enter too and she had a ton of fun too!

Kaylee and Twix all ready for the parade

Woa pony!!

Camped out waiting for the parade to start with Aspens friend Brielle and Cadens friend Tucker

In the parade

Kaylee was so excited, her dad not so much that I made him walk along side of her the whole way :)

Kaylee and Twix zooming through the poles :)

Rounding the last pole..

And she made ol twix break into a lope on the way home :)

And Barrels

Again.. Loping home. Sometimes little Twix has a little bit of an attitude so we decided to give her a little sedative for the rodeo and parade so she wouldn't try anything silly on Kaylee at her first hometown rodeo.. and we may have over done it, she was a little tired :)

Getting ready to goat tye.

I love this picture. Her face of determination. She did really good and I was so glad because she had been practicing so hard.

She won goat tying.. A whoopin 24 dollars I think. She was beyond excited!!!

Kaylee and her pal Arlee that came to watch.

Kaylee and her uncle Griff getting ready to ribbon rope

They had a crazy calf that circled back to the top of the arena so they had a hard time getting to it, but did the best for the circumstances.

Kaylee running to the finish line.

Aspen and Griff doing ribbon roping. Griff caught the calf at the very end of the arena so little Aspen had to run the whole length of the arena and did awesome! She was running fast and its bumpy in there, I kept hoping she wouldn't fall and she didn't. She did awesome!! Her legs were so tired and hurt for a few days, but she had fun :)

Run Aspen, RUN!!

Almost there :)

A few weeks before the rodeo Krista gave Kaylee the entry form so she got it all filled out all by herself and even payed half her entry fees.

The horse picture she drew on the back for Krista.

And on the front. I think she likes horses :)
It was a super fun day! Both Kaylee and Aspen did so good and we all had a blast. Its always a fun rodeo where our whole family enters so we are most of the rodeo. Kaylee practiced so much on Twix for about 3 weeks before the rodeo she rode her every day and usually twice a day. She set up a little pole and barrel pattern in our back yard out of whatever she could find- tires, rocks, dump trucks, whatever was laying around :) Its a long but fun rodeo. They even made me team rope again this year and I even caught a few with our falling off :) until next year...
