All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth..

On sunday night Kaylee was messing around and fell off the couch and landed on her suitcase and it knocked her front tooth loose. It was already loose, but this just helped it on its way. She totally FREAKED out for about an hour (sorry to our visitors-Grandma, Grandpa, and Amelia and Andy and their kids-who we were so excited to see!!) and would not let us even get close to her for fear of us pulling out. We have been telling her all day it had to come out since it was barely hangin by a tread and after about an hour of bribes and threats and more fits, she agreed. Now shes excited to sing "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!!!

Busy, busy, busy

Its been a while since I've uptaded the blog...sorry! We have had a lot of fun times. I love the Holidays!! Especially doing fun things as a family and just being with them!

Here are some things we have been up to....
We had our awesome Smith family Christmas party/Grandpa Smith birthday party. Happy Birthday Grandpa!! (its on christmas and he turned 80 this year.) Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!! The kids have so much fun.

This is all Aspen wanted for christmas... a pink baby with wings. All night she just couldnt believe santa really brought her the baby and how nice Santa is!! :)
He still didnt decide if he liked him or not, but he never cried.

Kaylee had her school Christmas sing. She did really good singing and doing the actions! It was so fun to watch.

This is Kindergarten - 3rd grade just getting ready to sing.

Our first good snow storm..

Kaylee on her snowmobile of course. Aspen wasnt as interested in playing in the snow. She was happy to stay inside next to the fire, watching her princess shows! :)
Kaylee and Alexas (my sister) snow men
Visited Temple Square to see all the beautiful lights

Words cant express... Aspen cried most of the way home, she was so bumbed because she wanted to go IN the temple.

I Love it when they all look happy together! :)

I love the statues of Mary, Joseph and Baby jesus in the water with the temple in the back ground. SO PRETTY!

All bundled up to go see the lights at temple square.

Pheasant hunting and Halloween

This Year for Halloween, Kaylee wanted to be a witch, Aspen of course wanted to be a pricess (Belle) and Caden, he didnt want to dress up, but we put him in a bear costume for a few minutes. We started out on Friday, the day before halloween with the costume parade at kaylees school. It was fun to see all the kids in school in their costumes. Then Saturday morning Dave went to help at the hunting club. Every Halloween they have the ghost and goblin hunt where they plant all the birds for the hunters- which ended up being about 350 birds then also plant a white (ghost) pheasant and a Black (goblin) pheasant. Who ever shoots one of them gets a new shot gun. So, Dave went at 4:30 am with the boys to help "plant" all the pheasants. Then we went over and had lunch and hung out. After the main hunt was over, we went out hunting some of the left over birds. It was fun. The kids had a blast with the birds. Even Aspen loved them, and usually she will have nothing to do with them. After the hunting club, we got the kidos ready and went to trunk or treat then I took the girls to just a few of the houses in the neighborhood to trick or treat, then we called it a night. The girls had just as much fun opening the door to trick or treaters at our house. We had a fun day.

Kaylee lost her 1st Tooth

Kaylee has had a very loose tooth for the last 2 days, and tonight she finally let her dad have a whirl at pulling it out. He wrapped floss around it and just pulled fast and out it came. She didnt know what to think, especially once the blood started coming out!! And definetly didnt want me to take a picture, so then I had to show her a picture of her best friend Arlee who had a picture of her when she lost her tooth then she decided it was cool to show off her lost tooth. She is all smiles now!! And super excited to get a special visitor after she goes to bed tonight. :-)

Family Pictures

So, We decided since its been a really long time since we have done any sort of family pictures, we really needed to get some done. See, this is where me and dave are different... My idea of family pictures consist of getting all dressed up, get the girls hair done and go to a pretty place. I'm not very picky where you go because you really only see whats directly behind you.. and the picture is of the people, not the scenery. Right? Well daves idea is to get the best possible scenery around. So since the leaves were changing, he decided to go up American Fork Canyon to get them. So, ok I thought, a nice little leasure ride would be ok... well, not exactly what I had in mind. We ended up going clear to the top of Mary Ellen Gulch which I swear happens to be the longest BUMPIEST road in the entire canyon!! so, 2hrs later and me almost rolling the wheeler we made it. ( I was really happy, let me tell you. I had the girls with me so every rock we hit which was basically constantly, I had one helmet smacking me in the chin and the other in the middle of my back!! -I know I'm a whiner) I do have to admit, after I calmed down and realized how beautifull it really was up there, we had a really good time!!
Here are some of my favorites..

Happy Labor day

For Labor day, Daves moms family has a reunion every year, this year they decided to have it up AF canyon. We were excited. We absolutely love it up there, we just never have the chance to make it there NEAR as often as we would like, so we were glad it gave us the excuse to go there. We headed out early in the morning and went four wheeling for a few hrs up into mineral basin ( to see how the ol cabin Dave has had his eye on for a while-- and was going to call the guy who owns it to see about how he could aquire it :) but it was either tore down or a mud slide or something came through and leveled it- he was pretty bumbed!!) then we wanted to get some good family pictures, and pictures of the kids. We found a pretty stream and dave got all the kids positioned on rocks in the stream, then I went to snap the pictures... only to find out my camera batteries were dead, but dont worry, I always have a spare... Hold on kids dont fall in the water while I change my batteries. OH CRAP these batteries are dead too. I was so mad. so we had out cell phones and took some with those- I'm sure they arent as good but atleast we got some. Then we decided to head up into forest lake. Man, it is so beautiful up in there!! Kaylee had fun catching the salamanders..she caught like 5 or so. Then headed down to the reunion at Mutual Dell. Thats always fun. They also reserved the zip line. Kaylee wanted to do it. So Dave got her all strapped in, then she was scared to Dave went with her then she wanted to do it again by herself. Then after she was totally bumbed that she had Dave go with her the first time. She loved it. Then we went up to Silver Lake Flats to end the day with some fishing. We had a great time. The kidos were catching the fish left and right.. Having a ball. We were even lucky enough to have grandma Snyder and Mike and Karra and that sweet little Adison come with us. Although the girlies will have to give uncle Mike some lessons on how to catch fish :) its all in the mickey mouse pole, Man. well, here are some of the pictures from our day. Enjoy!!

1st Day of Scholl!

Last thursday, the 27th of August our little girl started kindergarten!! Its crazy to me how fast they grow up. It seems like a year or two ago Dave and I started dating, and now I'm one of the old parents who have kids in school!! I was super nervous all morning, had knots in my stomach, but she was so excited. It was time to head out to the bus stop, and I ran back in to grab the camera, and by the time I got back outside Kaylee was gone, just running as fast as she could, almost to the bus stop. I had to yell for her to come back so I could get pictures. I was nervous because she is sooo shy, she will not talk to adults, I was worried how she would do. She came home with all smiles. Then the next day, Friday, as soon as she got off the bus, before she said hi or anything, she just said "Mom, I want to go back to school right now!!" I knew then she would be fine!! She counted down all weekend until it was Monday and she could go back to school. She was sent home with the "sound Bag" where they have a letter (ours was Aa) that they have to fill the bag with things that start with that letter, so all weekend we were gathering things, and she had to present it to the class today. She came home so excited that she got up infront of the class and talked!! I was so happy and so proud of how far she has come in less than one week of school!! Good Luck Kaylee!! Mom and Dad love you!!
