Labor day weekend boat ride up the Jordan River

On Saturday after we got our yard work done we went into Lehi to pick some apples to can, then decided to do something fun for the weekend and took a little boat ride on the Jordan River. It was a blast. The weather was nice, the kids were good, we had a good time. We launched the boat at willow park then drove up stream until we were almost to the pumps that pump the water out of the lake (we wouldn't fit under the last bridge to get all the way to the pumps) We found a nice shady spot and threw out the anchors and had our dinner- pizza. While we were having our little boat picnic we saw a few baby cat fish swim by. Kaylee wanted to catch one with the net, but we could never get close enough.

One thing about boat rides... They are SO relaxing! Caden just couldn't compose himself any more and gave in to a little snooze.

This is going under the bridge on Lehi main street that goes over the river

Briggs was super happy even with his life jacket on, but he had to be leaning over the edge like this most of the time. All the kids liked to feel and splash the water as it went by.

I don't know if this video will work or not, but Caden was a crazy driver and thought it was so funny to make us swerve and lean and be crazy!
