Cadens 2nd Birthday!

On July 13th Caden had his 2nd birthday. For the life of me I cant figure how to put the pictures in order.. so these are in random order, but some fun memories from his birthday.

On his birthday we moved him into a toddler bed, well, this is the next day after I put him down for a nap, I didnt hear him for a while so I went to peek on him and this is what I found. And no, he does not have a diaper on. We have gone thru quit the stage lately... everytime he needed to poop he would take his diaper off and go all over the ground then usually walk around in in. I dont even dare guess how many times I've shampooed my carpet. Before this picture he already came out of his room with his diaper off and poop all over his hads, feet, and floor and door knob, so I cleaned that up and put him back down for a nap and found this. Luckily, he hadnt pooped, just decided to take his diaper off then finally fell asleep. Dave used to tell me "just duct tape his diaper on" and I would laugh, saying no, I am not taping his diaper on.... Well I do now. I should have started this weeks ago and it would have saved me a LOT of headaches!! so, now his diapers are duct taped on and we havent had a mess in like 2 weeks!! YEA!!

This is his first night in his big boy bed... Dad is a softy and layed down with him and was out cols! Im not sure who likes it more :)

Caden is the one in our family who keeps us going. He is always on the move and usually getting in trouble! Whenever its quiet and not pestering his sisters its usually a guarantee hes causing some kind of trouble. I have him to thank for the yellow food coloring carpet in the front room, the many toothpaste stains on many rondom places on the carpet, the bottles and bottles of carpet shampoo and so much more. But, we LOVE this kid and the joy he brings to our lives! He does have a very sweet side where he loves to hug and kiss you. Sometimes I think he hurts his sisters just so he can give them hugs and kisses better. He is obsessed with tractors. Whenever he is cranky or causing trouble I just find a good long you tube video of tractors- )A combine cutting grain is his favorite- and he makes sure you know its a combine.. not a tractor) and he will just sit and watch it- totally mesmorized! He has a CAT machine movie that is the only thing he will watch on the tv. When driving he will pick out every tractor along the way and make sure you see it too and repeat it back to him or "tractor, tractor, tractor" never ends :) He goes to bed great and wakes up happy!! He is his daddys little buddy and would spend every minute with him if he could. We Love him so much and are glad hes in our family!! Happy birthday buddy!!!

4th of July weekend

We had a fun 4th of July weekend. We started with a wheeler ride up 4 mile canyon by Cedar Fort. Daves been wanting to check that canyon out forever. So we left in the morning and packed a lunch planning on being gone most of the day. Well, poor dave is stuck with a wife who is "large with child" (as dave would call me) and the trail was SUPER bumpy and rocky. I was trying to be a good sport, but my 8 mo pregnant belly just couldnt take any more. So after a while me and the girls pulled over and took a break, relaxed and had our lunch while caden and dave went on further to explore.

This is what we did while dad and caden were more adventurous. Had a picnic then made us a little bed and took a nice rest!

After we got back from our ride in the early afternoon we headed down to Krista and Koles for a water party and bbq.

Caden loved the slip n slide!! He would get any ones attention that he could then hed get a big huge run then when he got to a little puddle in the slide he would stop and then just throw himself down and laugh and laugh!

Yeaaa for the slip-n-slide... watch out here comes Cameron!

Caden absolutely LOVED all the fireworks! he just sat in his chair and would yell and clap at them then as soon as they were done he would say "more!"

On Monday morning we headed up to Deere Creek to do some fishing. We got there a little late for the fishing I think because we didnt catch anything but it was fun. We got my mom and little sister Alexa to come with us. Alexa was good to chase my kids and play in the water with them.

On the way home we went to Highland Glen park for a picnic and dave was determined to catch a fish...... the kids had a blast feeding the ducks and fishing

There were lots of little fish swimming around and eating the leftover bread the ducks didnt eat so the kids decided to put bread on a little hook and drop it right below them in the water and they would just watch as the bread was devoured then when it was all gone they would pull up the hook and there would usually be a little fish on like this. They caught around 7 I think. They thought it was pretty cool :)

Fishing

We took a little fishing trip out to Vernon Resevoir and Caden caught his first fish. Actually he was the only one who caught one all day.

A days work at the farm

Oh... the days of pulling Rye!!! I remember the dreaded days when I was young walking and walking and walking through the wheat fields looking for and pulling rye, and now here I am sending my little girl to pull Rye!! CRAZY!!! Granted, she is still a little small, and she would be tired after and hour or so but she still had a good time walking through the fields with her cousins!

A little while ago my dad needed to brand the calfs and give immunizations and all that fun stuff to get them ready to send up the mountain for the summer to graze. We decided to help (more like watch... but the kids love it!) Kaylee was quite the little helper...

Father and sons

A little bit ago Dave and Caden went to fathers and sons. They went last year, but Caden was too young to sleep over so this year Dave was super excited to camp out with him. It was a nice warm night, so he decided not to set up a tent and just make a little lean-to. He said they had a blast. Only mom was worried all night that Caden would wake up and wonder off since he wasnt contained in a tent and dave would never hear him. Just the dumb things moms worry about :)

Camping at topaz mtn.

Well, super slow again, but thats just me! A little over a month ago we took our annual Snyder family camping trip with anyone that can make it from Daves family. This year we decided to go to topaz mtn. We had so much fun! the kids had a blast digging in the dirt, finding the "diamond rocks" riding the 4 wheelers and the gator and just being outside all they wanted. We were told of some hot springs kindof by topaz so mid way thru the week we thought that sounded like a great idea to wash some of the layers of dirt off the kids. So, heres the spring.. It looks a little rough but I really think it was the funnest part of the whole trip for our kids. it had hot rivers on the side of the concrete pots, then a pipe with cold water coming in. So you could control the temp of the pot depending on how much cold water you let come in. There were 3 different pots.. all different temps. One just right for the kids, then one a little hotter, then the last one being pretty hot.

One day we went to the geod beds in Dougway. We didnt really know what we were doing or where to even look for the geods, but there were lots of big random holes that other people had dug looking for them, so the kids had a blast just climbing in and out of them and digging looking for some. We never did find any.

The kids caught 2 Horned Toads... this is about as close as Caden would get. He loved them from afar, but wasnt too interested in petting or holding it.

Kaylee on the other hand LOVED it! Infact we had to bring them home with us and keep them as pets for a bit. She would go out each day up in the field behind our house and dig a big pile of red ants to feed them.
